Actually it's the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act." But, to most Americans, and also, apparently, to many in Congress, it is "ObamaCare." It does nothing to "potect patients" and it is certainly not affordable.

Here is a report from the US House of Representatives, Energy and Commerce Committee, Fred Upton, Chairman:

On Eve of Law's 3rd Aniversary

Here is a snippet out of the report:

Obamacare’s Impact on Innovation, Full-Time Job Opportunities, and Compensation
•New Taxes Harming Job Creation and Innovation, Leading to Layoffs. The law includes $1.1 trillion in new taxes, including new levies on health insurance, drugs, and medical devices, as well as new limitations on health savings and flexible spending accounts. As one example, the new tax on medical devices will have a ripple effect that extends beyond patients, also imposing burdens on innovators who create well-paying jobs.
•Obamacare’s Part-Time Jobs Boom, Full-Time Jobs Bust. The law stipulates that all businesses with 50 or more full-time employees must provide government-approved employer-sponsored health insurance or face a $2,000 fine for every employee beyond the 30th, creating a perverse incentive to stop hiring when they reach 49 employees. The law also redefines full time employees as anyone working 30 hours/week, which is causing employers to limit hours for part-time workers to avoid reaching the 30 hour rule.

Where do you find that "death panels aren't true?" It's called the "Independent Payment Advisory Board" that ObamaCare sets up, and it's tasked with "cutting Medicare through formulaic rationing." In other words, as I have read, this board will decide what treatments will be made available to any given patient, or perhaps none at all, which is why this has been termed a "death panel." Their job is to ration care.

As of 2011, 733 companies exempt, along with over 2 million workers. If it's so great, shouldn't those workers be protesting?

If Obamacare is supposed to be such a great thing for America, why are so many companies and various organizations being granted exemptions? Why do so many of those who have sought the exemptions — like unions, for example — just happen to be supporters of Obama and liberal democratic policies? Could it be that liberals just love to make laws for everyone else, love to make everyone else but themselves pay?

According to whom, or what report? Do you have documentation (facts) or is this just idle speculation?

I think you are simply "pounding the table."

I have not read all the posts but where do you guys get this stuff from?, Let me guess, Rush told you it is so.
There is no one coming to your house.

MOST Health Plans have Wellness programs, especially those provided by your employer(like the CVS one) joining one usually is NOT mandatory but WILL lower your premiums, my premium is 50% of those that don't join, they do a blood test once a year for sugar and kidney function, BMI and BP, there is NO medical intervention.

"Ah, so now it's monstrous Gorgonzola, is it?"

Your interpretation, your words......whatever you mean.... however, if I were to summarize, I would describe it as a crime sanctioned by the electorate and the media. The electorate too complacent to take the legislative process seriously and the media, which has relinquished their responsibility to keep the government honest.

Clearly the process that gave life to the Obamacare legislation is the greatest tragedy to befall America.

Follow your Judas goat up the ramp right to the abattoir.

Nothing like stereotyping "Liberals", whatever a themometer is.
