[quote=shooting4life;28835770]Here is the gun control Obama wants, he proposed all of this during is first term btw.
List: Obama's proposals to curb gun violence - San Jose Mercury News
-- Reinstating the assault weapons ban. A 10-year ban on high-grade, military-style weapons expired in 2004. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., says such a ban might clear the Senate but doubts it could get through the House.
-- Renewing a 10-round limit on the size of ammunition magazines.
-- Prohibiting the possession, transfer, manufacture and import of dangerous armor-piercing bullets.
-- Senate confirmation of a director for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The agency has been run by an acting director, Todd Jones, whom Obama will nominate to become director.
-- New gun trafficking laws penalizing people who help criminals get guns.

No. The NRA isn't saying go out and buy lots of guns in case you get attacked by minorities. They're saying go out and buy lots of guns because Obama's coming to take your guns away. The NRA makes whoever sends that email from Nigeria look like an honest businessman

Guns don't kill people, scared, uneducated, inbred, redneck, back-woods, gun owners do.

So yeah, we do buy guns and for damn good reason.

That's not why they're buying guns

There are also minorities here when we have Republican Presidents but you never see a huge influx in gun sales then. Like I've always said, gun merchants vote Democratic

The DOJ says that the proposals won't work.
http://www.nraila.org/media/10883516...olicy-memo.pdf

Plus the 94 awb, which included many of the same proposals, was also a complete failure yet the dems still want to inact the same regulations.

Only in a democrats mind does it make sense to allowing a women to abort a baby is a right but allowing that same woman to own a semi automatic rifle should be restricted.

Napolitano buys nearly 2 billion hollow point rounds and won't comment on why and you stupids don't question it. Its not for target practice, thats been established. Its not to save money, those rounds are twice as expensive as full metal jacketed rounds. So where are the complaints about the feds being paranoid against minorities? They aren't buying urban assault tanks to go out and raid Cletus's shack in backwoods stickville. They have definite paranoid concerns about riots in urban areas. The only paranoid people around here are the feds.
Blow smoke and try to make it a racial issue. Nobody but the very dumbest and most addle minded burnouts buy that.

Well with that logic...

Only in a rebublican's mind do they not want anyone infringing on their right to bare arms, but want to infringe on the rights of gays to get married.

Only in a rebublican's mind is abortion not okay under any circumstance because that is us playing God, but no issue with the death penalty.

Only in a rebublican's mind is it good to cut all of these programs that benefit the poor because we don't have the money, then want an armed guard in every school in America.

You can find a million hypocrisies on BOTH sides (yes, democrats, too). That's why people need to learn to think for themselves and consider what is better for the people as a whole and not just themselves.

Compromise is the only way, but the country is so divided that it is far from happening. Meanwhile, other countries look at the way we act and think we're crazy.

We all need to pull it together.
