Not true, Carrey's ex received half his net worth at the time and he has had a good relationship with his daughter- who has just given birth. Unfortunately I expect this post will disappear just like the anti vaccine posts.
Well, I take responsibility for the vaccine posts since I used that topic to criticize Carrey's lack of smarts and to question his consistency, but some wanted to change the thread topic from Carrey to the vaccine controversy. There's other threads for that.
I don't have to think Carrey's untalented (actually, I think he's an epically talented physical comedian) or that he's a bad parent (vaccine thingy aside) to think he's an idiot for attributing bloodthirst to over half his potential audience, especially since we've recently seen the assault weapons ban go down in flames in the senate only last week.
Carrey is yet one more entertainer who thinks because he's catered to like a pasha on the set that he must be wise. He's no less entitled to his opinion on gun owners than I am to my opinion on Carrey's self adulation.
I am quite pleased to say I've never seen a Jim Carrey movie, and it's unlikely I ever will. What little I've seen of him makes me think of exceptionally immature 3 year olds.
I can't think of any good reason that I should care what carey thinks or blabbers about.
IMO, he is about as close to a non-entity as one can get and still be breathing.
