The MRAP programs cost over $2 billiion. They aren't going to just scrap those vehicles now that "the war is over".
ICE teams have 15 of them. Heck, put them at the southern border for patrols..maybe it would intimidate some future undocumented Americans from coming over here.
ICE would use em to escort the illegals through the Border Patrol the way this admin operates.
If the worst happens and we have a RWNJ revolt in this country I will just get a job with the HS Airborn section. Flying drones could be fun and a hell of a lot safer then a river boat in 'Nam.
At least this gives us an understanding on just "WHO" would be willing to carry Obama's plan through on taking out American citizens.....
The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.
Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.
The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company). I'm hearing from friends in Mexico there is a massive underground movement to plan a "boarder rush".....something on the scale of millions, lasting several days if not weeks.
They preparing to preempt a govt. boarder crackdown.

Go research the contract referenced in this posting. Its a DOD contract, primarily for the marines. No where is there any indication that the vehicles covered by the contract are being transferred or sold to the DHS.

This could set Mexico up for claiming we killed their citizens......they must have heard FREE WELFARE for all or a plan to take back what they think is theirs.
