I hope they never write a song about her namesake like Woody Guthry did about the USS Reuben James.

Probably easier to just sell weapons to an enemy, eh?

Any ship is better than a sinking one (Republican Party).

Oh so solly by golly. The lid does not like jokes about his idol.

No, Obama is not my idol. I do, however, take offense being a Veteran of the Navy that he'd use the Navy as a crutch for his joke on the POTUS.

Reeks of desperation, really.

Irony... to name a weapon after someone who is anti-weapon...

Well, if they can name an aircraft carrier after the segregationist Carl Vinson, what does that tell you?

I didn't hear a lot of Republicans (or Democrats) protesting about that one.

While we are at it, let's take Hoover's name off the building in DC. If there were any justice in the world, he would have had to answer for some of his racist, anti-democratic antics before he died.

Maybe it's been mentioned already ... I"m not going to go back through the 13 pages of commentary, but I was a bit surprised to read today the name of one of the U.S. Navy vessels being diverted to near the Korea area. The John Mc Cain. Well, if Mr. Mc Cain (or his father, if that's what the ship was named for) can have a ship named for him , then Gabby Giffords is more than worthy enough for a similar honor.
