You never seem that list that floats around the internet that lists all the things gay couples are allegedly discriminated against? There's like 1,300 item on it. Everyone of those can be applied to single people, whether they be gay or hetero.

Gay couples are allowed to get married in this country.
You still are confusing having a wedding and having a marriage.

But not a legally binding marriage that straight people are able to get, we have established this already.

If you feel there is nothing in common between various groups when their civil liberties are trampled on, then black people need to take a second seat, as black people were never sent to mass concentration and death camps the way Jews were.

Jews and gays plights are blips compared to what people of African descent the world over have gone, and still are going, through. You can hide your sexual lifestyle, not your skin color.

And the government denies tax breaks for single people all the time. If the left was really about equality like they claim then they would be talking about this also.

But it's not about equality or marriage.
A single hetero man and a single gay man are treated the same by the tax system, they are treated the same when they are in a relationship, they are treated differently if the respective couples want to get married.

If the state is going to confer benefits then it needs to confer the benefits equally. Homosexuals are already raising families and living together so why not give them the same benefits that hetero couples get? A woman married 15 years receives more benefit than a gay couple that lives together for 30 years.

Nope, feel free to provide a link, but you know what straight single people can do that gay single people can't do? Get a legally binding marriage that allows them the same benefits that straight married couple get.

There is no comparison. Gays did not have to expose the fact that their sexual practice was out side the norm. No one had to know if you were gay or not...it used to be a private affair..Being black is something that can not be kept private..The second you walk out the door they are going to say..."That person is black" - back in the day blacks were persecuted to such an extreme extent that they were hung from trees...beaten - kept in poverty ..denied opportunity- barred from breeding out side of their race..Gays did not have and do not have these difficulties. How many gays were lynched in the last 100 years?

Jews have been kicked out of every country they stepped foot in and were discriminated/oppressed for thousands of years.
