Another point for those who would hammer Rush on his drug problems.
In the latest Kennedy scandle when the younge congressman while under the influence of both priscription drugs and alcohol was in an accident, was given preferential treatment by the police and not even charged. He later admitted to the drug problem and it hit the headlines.
Rush: I will not condemn kennedy for his addictions And I truely hope he gets the help he needs to recover.
Why is it we never hear this? Oh because a right winger said it.
Rushes only comments that were negative were about kennedy getting preferential treatment by the police. They gave him a ride home and never tested him for being drunk .
Any of us would have been locked up that night and charged.. I understand that just about any politician would have been treated just like Kennedy.
not that i agree with your premise but isnt a a soldier who opposes war kind of like a football player who opposes competition! remember there is no draft!
I think it's more this war than war in general. Same sort of thing happened in Nam. Lots of enlistees were harshly anti-war once they got a look at it first hand.

Actual truth is commonplace on our side. We're the ones who discover all of it. Often in our ivory towers where we are out of touch with mainstream America. It's you guys who spout all the poppycock-truth...Saddam has WMD...Social Security is going bankrupt...humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time...tax cuts increase government revenue...the list goes on and on...
I did think Rush went over the line a bit when he tried to say the underage pages that received the sex e-mails from Foley had planted them in cohorts with the Democratic Party. He also suggested the kids had been convinced to go tease the pervert and get him going. Sometimes a pervert is just a pervert, no left wing conspiracies involved. And it was unfortunate he tried to blame the underage victims in this particular situation.
