Now everyone is going to get high on shrooms because they think it won't do any harm. Shrooms are on the bottom because nobody uses them, the converse is true about alcohol.

How does tobacco "harm others"?

The best thing is for an addict to suffer the consequences of their behavior. It's hard but it's his life. I've made it clear I won't deal with his behavior.

I agree in theory. And no, you don't have to deal with his behavior. But I would like to gently suggest to you that he's not an alcoholic just to spite you, and he's going through a hell that you can't imagine unless you've been through it. That's all. Sometimes people in trouble need their parents even if they act the complete opposite.
