Last month, three judges on the US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit deemed a Virginia anti-sodomy law unconstitutional. The provision, part of the state's "Crimes Against Nature" law, has been moot since the 2003 US Supreme Court decision overruled state laws barring consensual gay sex, but Virginia has kept the prohibition on the books.

Now Virginia attorney general and Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli is asking the full 4th Circuit to reconsider the case. Cuccinelli wants the court to revive the prohibition on consensual anal and oral sex, for both gay and straight people. (The case at hand involves consensual, heterosexual oral sex.)

Nope. Republicans don't want to control other people.

I swear does every questionable gay Republican have to try to ban the things they desire? Just kidding, this guy is just an idiot who thinks about what other people do in their sex life too much.

The nation goes one way, and they run in the other direction...

Guess that's the conservative way.

It's very unlikely that the 4th Circuit will reverse itself, so these Virginians are probably just going to have to accept that they're not getting their way - or rather, they're not going to get it in the end.

He (Cuccinelli) also seems to believe that he was put into office by God in order to fight President Obama.

Now that's obscene.

Guys you are reading to much into this. This is an individual looking for a way to make his name politically. He is hoping that by creating a "high profile" case that his name will become more recognizable and he will get elected as governor.

I'm a Christian, but I will be the first one to say "stay the heck out of my and everyone else's bedrooms!"
