Anarchism has been part of the human condition since the beginning of time. Anarchism has shown to be detrimental to societies. Hence, the inception of central governments to level the playing field.
He sure does. My brother's father-in-law is a libertarian; he's even produced several well-known films with libertarian themes (he's a filmmaker). But he's got to be mortified by the morally-bankrupt brand of libertarianism being sold to today's young greed-mongers. He brought his own children up with far more moral fiber than that.

Maher is the one who has never grown up. He still believes, like most of the ignorant left, in the egalitarianism of the 60's; a Utopian world view that is currently destroying Europe, and is now being openly opposed by a movement of French youth, who have recognized it's destructiveness.

Ayan Rand, who knew something about the world view of people like Bill Maher, and dreamed of one day coming to America to live free under a capitalist system that championed the individual and individual achievement, despised the suppression of truth, and the destruction of the individual that is the chief tool of the left to transform the United States into a socialist "paradise" of collectivism.
I'm a Libertarian (Left), but I don't think highly of Ayn Rand or Milton Friedman. Where I disagree with other Libertarians (especially Right Libertarians) is on economics. Oh, I have never considered Paul Ryan to be a Libertarian. If he's ever said he is, he's full of chit.
Ryan is a devotee of Rand...maybe that is the conection he was making.
Bill Maher is an ass hat, the whole artical/video is nothing more than him making fun of something he doesn't even have a clue about. I think Ron Paul might have something to say about it.
