That authority was given to encourage Saddam to allow the weapons inspectors into the country and it worked.It was not a declaration of war.One man and one man alone was responsible for this fiasco.

The 'lies about WMD' meme has been debunked more than anything this side of the flat earth theory, yet these lefties still hold onto it.
Even Saddam's own senior people believed that he still had a stash of WMD right up to the invasion.

If Saddam had WMD and did not use them against Americans when we attacked Iraq, when would he use them? If not then, then when???
He was hoodwinked into fighting an immoral war, was severely injured because Bush/Cheney did not provide adequate armor, and is dying. Should he be laughing?

Why would conservatives feel the need to justify Vietnam? That was a war started and escalated by liberals and ended by a conservative.
