ROFLMAO......
More than likely they traveled through the Bahamas, Mexico or Canada, as do many Americans, the State Dept wouldn't know. No paperwork/license necessary and Cuba doesn't stamp American passports. If that is how the entered Cuba they may have thought it wouldn't be a problem, but they should have tried to avoid any publicity.

The premise of this is just plain silly, yet another manufactured "outrage" to gin up the true believers.

It's probably not all that effective in Florida anymore as a political issue, due to demographic changes. The old émigré Cuban American generation most likely to respond to these calls are gradually passing from the scene. The more recent Cuban immigrants are more likely to support family visits back/forth to Cuba, and the 2nd and 3rd generation C-A's would rather focus on other matters (not unlike other Americans). Not only that, Cuban-Americans are now a minority of the total Hispanic/Latino population in Florida today.

Not only that, there are probably more than a few Farm Belt politicians (many if not most of them Republicans) who would love to sell some corn and wheat to Cuba.

But I'll bet the folks who are trying to publicize that knows all this, and are just trying to make some noise to see if it eventually sticks.

Isn't this the same group who lambasted Obama for letting his daughters go to Mexico?

Does the GOP want to close the borders or something? How is this relevant to anything? I doubt Jay Z is in cahoots with Castro....
