Most powerful guy in the world. Or maybe just on the golf course.
What a dip.
Just had to mention it.

Oh for ford's sake, how many times do you need to rehash stuff?

This happened years ago and has been done to death.

Your poutrage is so, so, expected.

You must be having a really, really slow day or are you just running out of things to say about Obama that you have to go back to something he said in 2008??

From the urban legends site (and other sources):

Quote:
Analysis: It's true that during a May 9, 2008 campaign stop in Oregon, Barack Obama said he had visited 57 states. The exact quote, as transcribed in the LA Times "Top of the Ticket" blog (and viewable on YouTube), went as follows:

"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

Not to excuse the gaffe, but it's clear from the context that the candidate intended to say he had been in 47 (or perhaps 48) states, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Obama acknowledged the mistake later that same day by poking fun at his own "numeracy problem."
I was so tired yesterday after work, I actually spelled my OWN (last) name wrong while signing something... and I have a Master's Degree, with my undergraduate degree being in English. LOL! In my defense, it is a very long & Slavic surname.

Mistakes happen, and yes, it must be a slow news day to bring up a FIVE year old "story." Besides, it's not like he's the first POTUS to make a gaffe - heck, they even have entire books dedicated to Bush Jr's goofs! I'm quite sure Obama knows how many states we have, just as I'm sure Bush knows "families" is a plural word.

What's sad is that this guy is a saint compared to the opposing republican candidates. It's a joke what that part has become.

The mere mention of the presidents middle name is very telling of the views that the O.P has of our president.

Is it a crime to type the president's middle name?
