Anyone anywhere can be successful if they put their mind and energy to it, I guess it may involve moving to another country depending where you are from.

No, only in America. I know for a fact there are no successful people in England, Sweden, France, Canada, Finland, Japan, it's all poor people.

success doesn't have to mean how much money you are able to make. I know lots of people both in the US and in Europe that consider themselves successful because they are happy. It has nothing to do with money.

It is the land of opportunity, but definitely not the land of equal opportunity. I like your attitude and I think our country needs a little more of it, but don't kid yourself. Kids born into affluent families have a much better shot at success compared to kids born in poverty. Black people and the black community at large do not have it as easy as their white counterparts. Any minority for that matter. FYI I'm a Republican, and generally support the work ethic which you are promoting here, but I'm also a realist and I do feel for those in our society who are born with the disadvantage of simply having poor parents, or loser parents who aren't willing to raise them properly.
