Separation by race? Since when are illegal aliens a race?

The ability to define yourself individually or the group you are lumped in for yourselves is important to how you get treated in this nation.

So conservatives know that calling mexican immigrants here without the proper documentation illegal aliens defines that group of people in an extremely negative light and allows for that groups' arguments for citizenship or better treatment to be dismissed because after all they are lowly illegals who don't deserve anything at all.

Many Democrats know that when you get people to use more humanizing language the treatment that group of people receives in society drastically changes.

This is what the debate is about.
How silly. 99% of the words we use to describe someone aren't offensive until someone gets their panties in a bunch and others jump on the OFFENDED bandwagon. They need to get jobs and do something productive, and stop worrying about a word, for Pete's sake! Sitting around being offended, then blubbering on forums about how offended you are is very time and energy consuming. Put your imaginary talents somewhere else.

I'll double damn guarantee you I won't stop thinking of and using certain words to describe people just because someone wants to get into a pizzing match about it. Deal with it.
.
P.S. Democrats don't know squat. Their life's goal is to make much ado about nothing

I won't say Democrats as that's not necessaraly the case but most liberals goal is not to make "much ado about nothing" but to make victims out of everyone and anyone possible. I will say it seems the Democratic party has decided that they're going to position themselves as the "victim party" and the only one who cares. Kind of a smart move if you think about it, paint yourself as the champion of all victims and everyone who disagrees are evil haters.

The debate is about using language to define a group of people.

conservatives know that the term illegal aliens defines that group of people in very negative terms, and this helps conservatives in their political goals pertaining to blocking this group of people.

Democrats know that using humanizing language to describe undocumented immigrants will help Democrats in their political goals pertaining to helping this group of people.

This is what the debate is all about.

Why should we give them a positive term? They broke the law.

How many positive terms we give American law breakers?

They use undocument because that sounds less criminal, or not criminal at all.

I know. It's insulting in the worst possible way that Geraldo automatically compares any black person with a criminal. Criminals made a choice to commit a crimal act (or in some cases their parents did). This in no way is comparable to what race someone is.
