It is funny you say that. I was arguing with a moronic liberal at dinner one night and we got into various issues when I once mentioned a something about a black being a "colored" and I thought him and his GF were going to die from horror.

I intentionally said it to elicit a reaction and see how he handle it. Then when he said you 'can't use that phrase, it is racist' I simply asked him how the NAACP could self-profess to be 'colored' people and apparently wear it as a badge of honor (considering they can change their name or condemn the name anytime) and they were befuddled.

Negro is spanish for black, getting offended by a color is hilarious. I think making 'negro' considered racist is racist against Hispanic language and culture. Who wins that fight?

Colored or Negro isn't a pejorative inherently, the other N-bomb definitely is.

Why should he? Because Geraldo says so? Or does it offend you?

Does calling an illegal immigrant and illegal immigrant change their status?

Look, sometimes things just are what they are. You gotta keep things real. A lot of what is wrong with society today comes from making bad not sound so bad.
I agree with you.

You're part right. His father was from Puerto Rico, a converted Sephardic Jew, and his mother, Lil Friedman, was an Ashkenazi Jew.

He is born in Brooklyn & raised on Long Island.

I have a couple friends who went to HS with him, and my son Interned with him many years ago (Probably a reason my son is not in the broadcasting biz now! )
