Where do they get these congressman and why do they hate science and math so much.
Quote:
The Texas Republican Joe Barton stands out even among his fellow conservative Republicans who have made it an article of faith to deny the existence of a human component to climate change.
On Wednesday, Barton cemented that reputation by citing the Old Testament to refute scientific evidence of man-made global warming, drawing on the story of Noah's ark.
"I would point out that if you are a believer in the Bible, one would have to say the great flood was an example of climate change," Barton told a congressional hearing on Wednesday in a video first shown on the Buzzfeed website. "That certainly wasn't because mankind had overdeveloped hydrocarbon energy."
Barton was speaking at a house subcommittee hearing called by the Republican leadership to promote a bill that would allow Congress to fast-track a controversial pipeline that would pump crude from the tar sands of Alberta to refineries on the Texas coast.
Nothing he said is incorrect. Climates change without human meddling.
And what evidence is there he "hates" science and math. That's just plain retarded.
Anyone who believes in the Biblical flood, talking snakes, Noah and the Ark, Jonah and the great fish...hates science. People like that have to hate science because science pokes holes in their silly little beliefs.

Most scientists beleive in the science behind global warming including NASA, I will go with them rather than some home schoolers interpretation of the bible to his advantage to justify his point of view. It happened once so it will happen again because the bible says so is not based on anything factual, at least he admits there is in fact global warming, more than I can say for some.
Do you believe in the Biblical flood, talking snakes, men living to be 800 years old, Noah and his ark?
They call it Faith for a reason.
I don´t see why anyone has a problem with believing in a invisible man in the sky who impregnates virgins. It´s very plausible. I´m sure you could find a few cases of rape in such a manner.
People of faith always seem to get upset when someone of another faith questions theirs.
