Why do the loons make the leap that you do? How does law abiding gun owners equal more dead people? Your statement is born of cowardice it would seem. Don't be afraid of a gun. It's just a tool. Or are you against armed self-defense.

Too bad that for every home owner who "defends" himself, a 100 die by accident or suicide (or more).

Also too bad, the home owner was shot (no news on status). Chances are everyone would be healthier if the home owner would of not had a weapon. Unless the home owner was a target (i.e. a gang member themselves/something)
Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws on earth. How's that working out Chris?
It's funny when the gun grabbers 'cherry pick' their favorites stats to deny others their rights.

They won't because they know it makes them a target. These leeches live off of our protection. By making it a crap shoot, those who live in areas and states that allow CCW we protect the idiots by default. I would think more of them if they just said thank you and left us alone.

I'm very familiar with guns . I'm fine with people owning them and protecting themselves.

I think those who want to be armed at all times, are paranoid and in a state of fear, even if they don't recognize that. The more people that go around armed all the time, the more deaths there would be. I should think that is obvious.

Perhaps it's the legacy of growing up watching Westerns. Lots of people thinking they're the good cowboy, wanting to be there to save the day. Nothing wrong with that. but what's the risk of needing to, in reality?

You're entitled to be paranoid by thinking that self defense is paranoia. Until you personally know someone who has been victimized or have a family member victimized, you'll carry that dismissive attitude towards gun owners. Perhaps it's the irrational fear of an inanimate object. Perhaps it's the effect of swallowing the anti-gun paranoia. That would be a group-think problem for a Dr. Phil forum. Oh and BTW, I realize that a western is a movie.

You must live in a safe gated community.

I am an economic, social and political Liberal that is also a Vietnam War veteran. I am willing to let anyone die trying to invade my home or assault me or mine.

Self defense is the PRIME directive.
