Food stamp nation

We're becoming a nation of freeloaders. Thank you Obama and liberals for your socialist/entitlement programs that are going to bring down the country. And why the hell do non citizens getting food stamps? All I can do is shake my head at this article.

"SNAP eligibility has never been extended to undocumented non-citizens."

Newsflash: Obama didn't invent SNAP and George W. Bush changed the rules to allow disaster victims to get SNAP.

The reality is, apart from the OP's assertions, is that during economic down times more people apply for SNAP. In addition, since the minimum wage has not risen, a full-time employee at WalMart, earning the minimum wage, is still below the poverty line -- making those employees eligible for SNAP and Medicaid. We the tax-payers are essentially subsidizing the low-wage rates of companies like WalMart.

It has more to do with the **** poor economy. That both Democrats and Republicans are responsible for.

If corporations paid better we wouldn't have as many people on welfare. There's a difference between being poor and working, and not working and receiving assistance.

But they do to their citizen children. Now, since the kids can't reliably go food shopping on their own we have to assume the EBT card is given to the parent for the parent to spend..yes ?

About $2 billion goes to illegals for their citizen children.

This article is last year so the figure could be higher now

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michea...b_1343158.html
As far as healthcare, illegal aliens give birth to about 340,000 children nation wide each year, imposing tremendous medical costs on hospitals. Several hospitals, including ones in Stockton, CA and Dallas, TX, report as many as 70% of their deliveries are to non-residents. Similarly, since the parents of infant citizens still qualify for welfare in order to protect the child, the Center for Immigration studies estimates nearly $2 billion dollars goes to illegal aliens annually, in the form of food stamps and free lunches.

Over 29% of all education dollars get spent on teaching anchor babies, including over $1 billion dollars teaching English as a second language, according to FAIR.

Well Nancy Pelosi says for every food stamp dollar spent about 2 dollars is put back into the economy, however that works.
I think she meant for every ebt card issued, her friends at JP Morgan collect $2 a month.
I wish somebody could just flush Washington down the toilet so we can start all over.
Scumbags everywhere, all sides.

$518.00 a month for a family of four is a comfortable food budget. They need to get their tatoo and cell phone bills under control.

.
I didn't say anything about illegals, I said why are non-citizens. I don't care if they are here legally or not, if you move here from another country and can't provide for yourself then you need to get the hell out of here. We have enough of our own freeloaders. The United States can't be a charity case for all the poor people in the world.
