There better be a thorough and aggressive investigation of the company that managed the facility, and all of its executives. If they cut any corners regarding safety protocols, they need to be brought up on manslaughter charges.

"CombustionWhen mixed with oxygen, it burns with a pale yellowish-green flame. At high temperature and in the presence of a suitable catalyst, ammonia is decomposed into its constituent elements. Ignition occurs when chlorine is passed into ammonia, forming nitrogen and hydrogen chloride; if chlorine is present in excess, then the highly explosive nitrogen trichloride (NCl3) is also formed.""Ammonia reacts violently with the halogens. Nitrogen triiodide, a primary high explosive, is formed when ammonia comes in contact with iodine. Ammonia causes the explosive polymerisation of ethylene oxide. It also forms explosive fulminating compounds with compounds of gold, silver, mercury, germanium or tellurium, and with stibine. Violent reactions have also been reported with acetaldehyde, hypochlorite solutions, potassium ferricyanide and peroxides."

Default Explosion and many casualties in Texas - and read these hateful comments from HuffPost readers. My gosh!

Texas Explosion: Fatalities Reported In Blast At Fertilizer Plant (VIDEO)

I was already sick with sorrow for the people of Boston, and then I read about the town of West, Texas and the huge explosion with many dead and gravely injured reported. I thought I felt as sick as I possibly could, until I read the crass comments readers of the Huffington Post posted about this tragedy.

Despicable.

It's amazing the guy didn't get killed! Hard to tell, but he seemed pretty close.

After reading the comments, I have to agree. It's embarrassing to think that some of the comments come from our fellow citizens. Even so, there are far more positive ones. Ignore the miserable, hate filled trolls.
