We live in an age of the internet and 24-hour cable news outlets.

Not only do people love to be told how to think, many of our brains are actually wired for it. 238 years from now... History lessons will be interesting.

It is people like you who are so scared of these foreign terrorists, that you are coward enough to willfully allow our politicians to turn this nation into a police state.

Enjoy your food stamps

Wow, you must have read my dossier.

Didn't have to. This one was obvious.

The Americans lined up with their guns and refused to either lay down their arms or disperse.

Their captain told them, "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." (A marble monument with those words can be found on Lexington Green today.) The British tried to break them up, and the Shot Heard Round the World was fired.

With the way things have been going in this country recently, some folks have started referring to that as "The First War for American Independence".

----------------------------------------

Other April 19 events:

1764 - The English Parliament banned the American colonies from printing paper money.

1933 - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a proclamation that removed the U.S. from the gold standard.

1993 - The Branch-Davidian’s compound in Waco, TX, burned to the ground by Federal agents, who suspected that child abuse had been taking place inside. 86 people were killed, including 17 children.

1995 - The Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, OK, was blown up by American terrorists Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols. Their excuse for murdering 168 people (including 19 children) was that they were upset over the Federal government's actions at Waco, TX in 1993, and other Federal killings.

haha, are you going to pick up a gun and fight in an imaginary war now? It appears you guys are lost in fantasyland.

Things certainly have changed in those 238 years. We don't need freedom of speech as we have evolved to where our government can think and do everything for us, so let's just remove that as a right. Freedom of Religion? Do away with it since more and more people don't need religion!! Freedom of the press? OUT!!! We have the government propaganda machine to tell us everything we need to know.

So yes things have changed but those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

Best thing is to get down to your bunkers and cut off all communication with the world. Once it's all clear, we'll let them know it's safe to come out.

238 years ago today, the fantasy of every gun nut in this land was born: of someday standing shoulder-to-shoulder with like-minded political extremists in a shoot-out with the forces of law and order.
