Eh...death penalty, life without parole, what's the difference.

Nothing we can do to this man is going to bring any of the victims back. I think that is what all of us, regardless of political leanings would hope for most if it were possible. But it's not. So the best we can do now is celebrate their lives by reminding the world that they were here, they mattered and they were loved.

[MOD CUT/off topic] The answer is human decency. People humor you because, although they are probably bored to tears, it's the decent thing to do. Some people still operate by it. I've seen people whose family have been taken from them by murderers who forgive the killers. That stands in contrast to the weaselly little vermin who use cases like this to puff out their chests and try to demonstrate just how tough they are by proposing various ways we might mutilate and kill for revenge.

As much as I want this psycho to have his limbs blown off and die a painful death, I'd rather have him live than risk killing more innocent people.

There is a building mountain of literature that indicates that the death penalty is far more humane than serving life without parole in places like ADX Florence where that badest of the bad spend what can only be charitably referred to as life.

We have photographic evidence of him putting a bomb behind a child. Yeah, I'm OK with the death penalty for that. When the evidence is circumstantial, maybe we should hold back on death.

I'm fine with the death penalty in this case if he's found guilty... Right now though, it'll just be interesting to see if he survives or not or if he starts talking...

Death is too easy. Let him go insane inside a super max prison for the next 50 years. [MOD CUT/off topic]
