The politicizing of the tragedy in Boston is disturbing and that goes for both the far left and right. Matthews was disgusting with his politically motivated speculation and I usually like about 70% of what he says. And the right using this to fan hatred for Muslims and using it as this pol did was beyond reason and equally disgusting.

Things were so different on 9/11. We all came together then, it seemed, and rallied around the flag and the president and our neighbors. Maybe it was the ensuing wars or simply social change that has been happening so quickly, but we are a nation of people that has turned on each other and become intolerant of ideas and uncompromising since then. The hour of our demise is at hand if we continue down this path.

The tweet comes after gun legislation failed in the Senate, when measures to improve background checks and ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines all failed.

Why am i not surprised he is a Republican ? Oh yes, because they are all morons.
"insensitive"? B.S. People need to grow up and accept life.

Luckily that MIT police officer was able to fend off the terrorist because he was armed and trained.

Oh wait my mistake unfortunately he was not able to defend himself even though he was armed.

My apologies to his friends and family.

There was a guy filling in for on the radio last nite for Mark Levine and he had a good line. He said he hoped that somewhere in Boston two guys were drinking beer and celebrating the capture of the last bomber. He hoped they said " Gee I wish I had a side am so I could protect myself." A side am, rhyming with ham in the new england accent. It was funny.
Of course, if that happened in my neighborhood it wouldn't be a worry.

What we learned about our fellow Americans this week. They`re ok with being gunned down in theaters, malls, etc. it`s home made bombs that they worry about.

It must be sad to be offended over every little thing.

I'm offended because there was already a thread about this when the OP started this one.

Sounds to me like the man was correct.
Why didn't I think of that? Just get out my "assault weapon" and SHOOT THE BOMB. Or better yet, fire at the shrapnel! Problem solved!

If this makes me racist so be it, but if i was holed up in my house on a lock down situation where gun shots were heard down my street in the early morning, i would want a gun just in case someone tried to break in my house.

Any reasonable person would!

I suggest that liberals put a sign on their front door "gun free zone"
