UPDATE: Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick on suspect's condition: Serious but stable. Suspect is not yet able to communicate

he is in the hospital not able to talk, maybe that is why he has not been read his rights yet?

Exactly. The suspect being charged must be able to understand the rights being read to him. Silly thread.

Trampling on a constitution is normal. We in Canada have a Charter Of Rights And Freedoms. it is trampled on daily in almost every court in the land. Things like charters and constitutions are primarily put in place by an elite to create the illusion that people are free and have rights. It gives them false hope and a sense of some sort of fleeting security. The mature mind understands that there are two sets of laws....No - not one for the rich and for the poor...But a duel system that is - one system for the intelligent and another system for the not so intelligent.

If they feel you are just some dumb ass...you get pushed off into the economy seating. The reason they treat those that are bright better is those that are bright have the ability to put the full weight of embarrassment on the shoulders of the judiciary- and they are a proud bunch that don't like to be humiliated in a public forum.

In America you have this notion that you are all equal...in Canada or in Britain there is a system of class that has nothing to do with wealth but with smarts.

As for the young man laying in a hospital bed..they will heal him not out of compassion but to generate a political engine that can be used to further enforce and re-enforce the status quo. It will never be about justice- There is no justice in this world...if there was we would have seen it by now. There are just issues of power and control.

They were not read their Miranda rights, making their confessions "exculpable", to immunize the evidence of the eyewitnesses and video footage.

They were counseled by the military to do this.

Military court rules are different than civilian courts, I couldnt comment on how that works.

I only discuss things that I have personal knowledge about.

Sorry, but you got that wrong. Health professionals are pretty non-political regarding their patients. "Non-judgmentalism" was banged into our heads in nursing school, and most of us got the memo. I'd assume it's the same in med school.

I just love how the right are all of a sudden defending this terrorist and complain that he was not read his rights. So what, he was probably unconscious and almost near death. Don't forget he slaughtered 4 people and caused others lifetime injuries and you people are worried about him be read his Miranda rights. He will be read his Miranda rights when he is conscious and understands what they are telling him.

I have found it simply amazing that ever since Obama has been in office, right-wingers have pretty much cheered for the terrorist. This thread once again proves it.
