If 9/11 had never happened, I could give the FBI the benefit of the doubt.
You still have yet to give any logical explanation on how exactly the FBI screwed up. If you think the FBI is supposed to use some Jedi mind tricks and know who exactly the bombers were immediately afterward, based upon one investigation upon thousands, you need some help.

You think foreign governments have warned us about thousands of people in Boston who have extremist ties?

And that thousands of those matched the pictures of the bombers?

FBI agents interviewed bombing suspect in 2011 - CNN.com

The FBI did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign, and those results were provided to the foreign government in the summer of 2011," the FBI's statement said. "The FBI requested but did not receive more specific or additional information from the foreign government."

Well, last Monday proved that theory wrong.

U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas and chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Friday that information that Tsarnaev had been interviewed by the FBI in the past was disturbing.
"It's new information to me and it's very disturbing that he's on the FBI's radar screen," McCaul told CNN's Erin Burnett.
Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it? Our government wants permission to look into our emails and social sites on the internet, presumably to monitor suspected terrorist leaning people, and then they don't even see Facebook and Twitter accounts with dozens of jihadi videos posted by the older brother.

But wait... ther's more...

FBI interviewed dead Boston bombing suspect years ago - CBS News

The FBI is likely to have run a background check, running his name through all the relevant databases, including those of other agencies, checking on his communications and all of his overseas travel. Miller reports that culminated in a sit-down interview where they probably asked him a lot of questions about his life, his contacts, his surroundings. All of this was then written in a report and sent it to the requesting government.

My question is, did anyone follow up?

This is an issue they've had in the past. They interviewed Carlos Bledsoe in Little Rock, Ark., before he shot up an Army recruiting station in 2009. They were also looking into Major Hasan Nadal before the Fort Hood shootings.

It shows a weak spot.

However, the FBI has maintained in those incidents that they took all the steps they were asked to and were allowed to under the law.

And to answer your question, billy, it's evident how the FBI screwed up. The man they interviewed in 2011 was responsible for bombing the Boston marathon and killing a cop. He was quite vocal onm his beliefs, and couiple that with the red flag Russia offered, they should have at least put him on their "watch" list.

Well they arrested this 18 year old based on what he wanted to do.

When the FBI is involved and part of the plan, they ALWAYS get their man.
Their track record is flawless when they are involved with the setup.

This teen was arrested at the airport, before he got to do anything.

Have him deported as a national security threat under Alien Enemies Clause of the Alien & Sedition Act of 1798.

Gotta love conservatives. You've been telling us since WWII not to listen to the "commies".

NOW you want us to take them seriously.

Gotcha!

And just where does the buck stop for the operation and direction of the FBI? Huhhh?
