LOL Christie just kissed his presidential bid goodbye unless he switches to the Democrats in 2016 or subsequent years

Not every Republican was/is an idiot. Most of them yeah, but not all.

Yeah - the Barrett is one of the most respected sniper rifles in the world. Widely used by many military organizations. A Barrett was featured in several scenes of the Mark Walhberg movie "Shooter." I know people who have many firearms of all configurations. But none own a Barrett.

Not a good weapon for anything except very long range stationary shooting.

Christie is setting himself up to appeal to moderate Republicans and the people who are in the middle, as well as independents. Just because he doesn't pander to the far right in the party does not make him a Democratic supporter. He is far from that.

I don't like him, but he is a very slick talker and a pragmatist. he knows that most Americans support background checks, especially that include mental health. He knows how to pander to a crowd. Don't count him out yet.

I don't think he'll run in 2014 unless he's really pushed to by the party. He's been very clear about attending to NJ first. But he's a politician... so who knows.

He's looking for some limelight and trying to cash in on popularity. Nothing he proposed will get implemented because they can't get their act together to make it happen. Trust me, I work for the state of NJ, they are in complete disarray at ALL times.

They make the laws. They WILL find a way around HIPAA, and doctors and hospitals WILL comply!
The simplest thing to do will be to pass a law stating that by attempting to purchase a firearm you give up all rights to Patient Confidentiality. HIPAA will no longer apply to YOU!

As for Barrett, I hope none of the NJ law enforcement agencies owns one. If the Gov outlaws them, and they send it to Barrett for the annual tune-up, they probably won't get it back! Barrett is very likely to KEEP IT, because it is illegal to own one in that state!

It's popular with gangs in Northern New Jersey. Every Escalade is accessorized with one.
