Hi, I am a chinese international student who came U.S to study just a year ago; I have noticed that there are so many white young single moms in my school and many of their children are biracial ( I have encountered at least 10 ). I am just wondering if it is a common social phenomenon in the States? I have never seen that in China. I know this is really none of my business since I don't date or even interested to be friend with them. I am asking this out of curiosity since I would like to learn more about American culture. Thanks .
Interesting aside, when my estranged (and racist) dead beat father found out I had a child, the first thing he asked was if the child was black (I'm white btw). Interesting question coming from a dead beat father. I was married too, btw (to a white guy, not that it should matter).
Some marginalized black men assume that they are mating up if they get it on with a white girl. Kind of like genetic social climbing. They think that black girls are low class and that a white girl is higher class...Because most of these black males are not exposed to real middle class white society they go after white girls that are white trash...not knowing they are NOT the cream of the crop. That's my theory anyway. When I see a black man with a white girl and a child - most of the time the white girl is not one that white guys want.

Not to be rude but you just insulted many people... and way to perpetuate oppression. You've got to look at things through someone else's perspective sometimes.

As a black guy who dates white women, I resent this. EVERY white female I've gone out on at least one date with has been well-educated, articulate, independent, and had a solid job. I sure didn't get lucky, I've actively pursued women with those attributes exclusively. The white women I've dated have no problem attracting white guys.
