I'm glad the ladies are getting compensation. But they werent mistakenly shot! They were shot on purpose! How many years in prison are the cops getting for their homicidal road rage? (How many years in prison would a citizen get if they fired dozens of rounds into the back of someone's truck?)

Your "pity" might be misplaced.

Try using a mirror.

I wonder what those cops were THINKING!

Maybe they thought that the newspapers would blow up - kind of like the teacher in West Virginia apparently thought that the student's shirt would fire all on it's own.

There is zero justification for what they did.

They should be on trial for attempted murder.

Anyone else would be.

They were shielded by their "shield".

My question relates to whether or not their actions were supported tacitly or otherwise by the force de corp.

All across the country cops are shooting people's dogs, and the atrocity rate on harmless people is epidemic.

Has the overall mindset of Law Enforcement changed to a more fascist fix?

Have the authorities devalued human worth?

Are all citizens presumed expendable?

Back to economics, was the $4+M payout considered by the authorities simply a cost of doing business?

And, is it thought by anyone that this business in economically beneficial overall?

Keynesians support breaking windows to keep the economy vibrant - has it gone further to killing people?

Too bad the cowboy cops aren't paying with everything they own and then locked up for attempted murder like would be the case if one of us little people were found guilty of such an act.

I'lll bet they are still on the force assigned desk jobs and getting paid until the publicity dies down.

obviously they were fully cooperative with the cops or they would have not given them the money. very disappointing.
we need robo cops badly, humans just keep making these kind of mistakes. i think in my own lifetime we may see them. these microsecond decisions are best made by machines.

The LAPD has no qualms about giving $4 million out to make this mess go away, yet they're doing everything in their power to not have to honor the $1 million reward for the couple that was held hostage by Dorner in the last day leading up to his death....

I would have told them they could keep the money if they fired the cops and prosecuted them. They would have doubled their offer.

What the hell happened to the idiot cops who shot at em? They just cost the city 4 million bucks. The DA makes it sound like these women just won the lottery. He says they can spend it however they want. Isn't that nice of em. Gimme a break. Those cops should be fired. They will probably get promoted.
