Totally...

That is ridiculous. I have never oppressed anyone. I did not make the political or economic decisions that led us to this point. Furthermore, the demand for cheap goods exists because American wealth has been dwindling for decades because of outsourcing. Aside from multinational companies, rich businessmen, and the politicians they buy, I cannot think of anyone that likes the current circumstances that makes people have to seek out cheaper goods from foreign nations.

If there were well-paying jobs for Americans where we made stuff for ourselves, there would be plenty of buyers; however, there aren't because they have been shipped off to other countries so multinational companies can make tons of money by cutting labor costs.

Don't give us that wholly pernicious and fallacious crap you are spewing. It is a hell of a lot more nuanced than you want to make it seem.

Speaking of...

Telephone:

Three key players:
Alexander Graham Bell
Zenas F. Wilber
Elisha Gray

Bell bribed the patent examiner, Wilber, with $100 and all Bell wanted was to see the patent application for Gray's telephone "caveat" which of course was later copied by Bell.

The computer:

Back in the day "computers" were actually people who did the job of computing. This was started in WW II were the women back home who excelled in math were hired as "computers" to calculate dynamic equations for ballistics.

Anyways, these women were displaced by the new "electronic computer" ENIAC. What the male engineers of ENIAC didn't know was that they could make the machine but what actually makes the machine is the programming. The women programmed these machines and when all was said and done the women made those machines work as they were meant to and when it came time for recognition, not a single one of those women were invited to the gathering. None was even mentioned.

You can watch "Top Secret Rosies" for more inormation if you'd like:

Commercial Electricity:

There's not much that needs to be said that can't easily be found on the net about how Edison fought Tesla the entire time claiming that DC current was the future and AC current was too dangerous to use commercially. Of course AC current is what prevailed and almost no one credits Tesla with that or the AC motor that transformed the planet.

But you'll certainly hear about Edison and all the great things he did.

Modern Flight:

Does that look like the Wright Brothers? Of course not, that's a German immigrant who flew that contraption about a half a mile above 50 ft more than two years before the Wright Brothers.

Anyways, no, I'm not making this stuff up. The list of things "American" that transformed the world aren't quite as spectacular as they would seem when you actually start investigating. No, Americans shouldn't hold their heads down in shame but they should actually be curious about how the events that they've been led to believe actually occurred and how they came about. The truth so to speak.

Here, I'm going to give you the biggest hint on planet Earth as to why you cannot do a damn thing about globalization.

What does electricity do? It's always trying to find a path back to ground.

What does water do? It's self-leveling and is always trying to find balance.

What does heat do? It goes from where it is to where it's not and the greater the delta the faster the heat travels. It's always trying to find equilibrium.

What does gas pressure do? It's always trying to equalize and find equilibrium.

So what do you think life does that encompasses electricity to work the body, water to give it life, heat to keep it moving and atmospheric air to oxidize the nutrients spread throughout the body?

Well, of course it tries to find equilibrium and any attempts to keep things out of equalibrium require huge resources and energy and ultimately always fails. The longer things are kept out of equilibrium the larger the rubber-band effect and the more devastating equilibrium is to those who tried to alter reality.

Just something to think about when you start contemplating where American's place in the world should be knowing they're 4.5% of the Earth's population and use 25% of the Earth's resources. Try calculating how many Earths it would take to have everyone on the planet living and American lifestyle sometime. You should stay away from tall cliffs and keep by your side a large barf bag.

What do you think?
Well considering the student loan and healthcare bubbles that havent burst yet, The phoney real estate market bubble thats being inflated again. I dont think its going to be pretty,

A total collapse does worry me because Americans would go insane if the electricity quit coming over the wires, the service stations all ran out of gas, the gas and water service stopped, the toilets backed up, the supermarkets were stripped bare and closed, the ATMs not work and nofurther no paychecks and the banks ceased to function so no access to bank accounts, stock or bond portfolios etc. At least 30 million of us on medications like insulin or the 700,000 of us on dialysis would die off in a few weeks or months. How many Americans would go on killing spree in firefights over the shrinking supplies of shelf storage food, gasoline or drugs. By the time this all peters out America will make a place like Somalia, Zimbabwe or Haiti look like a paradise!
