So, if I get that right, 50% of the people in America don't contribute to anything? Since they don't pay taxes, they don't work..

They just take your dollars?

They work but with deductions and credits they get it all back except the FICA.
Some actually get back more than they paid in.

47% of the tax-eligible pay no federal income tax whatsoever. 30% of the tax-eligible not only pay no federal income tax, but they even get money FROM the federal government just for submitting a tax form.

Yes.

I don't agree with everything but well thought and written. And mostly TRUTHFUL as in sincere.
I'd be perfectly happy to help pay for their airfare to France. Then they can soak you dry.

The U.S. is only a christian nation when it benefits liberals and when it doesn't then they sway. As for your other comments our country does give to the poor the problem is they are greedy and continually want more. At what point does it end huh? At what point. We've been fighting this war on poverty since the 40's and there are people who now think nothing of taking from others who are away from their families to support themselves plus the poor who think they are owed for some reason. If you want to give more be my guest but for me, enough is enough.

So Brazil has very high taxes. What is the standard of living there.
Well, I can't say that nothing changed. Of course we don't have people dying of desnutrition nowadays but this is the minimum we could expect. Countries like Chile and Uruguay have much less taxes and they are better than us in all aspects. Our economic freedom is low, we're out of the Top 100 in the ranking. The high taxes prejudice the poor, it's all expensive here and they can't buy basic things, so the government help only neutralize the situation but it isn't a solution. The security is a disaster, it's really hard to have a gun at home here but all the criminals have, they are in control and we live afraid behind walls. Our government is "friend" of Cuba and Venezuela, this simple fact is already a disaster too. And if it couldn't get any worse, our public and private schools are all full of marxist indoctrination, "socialism is a paradise and capitalism is evil" they say. We seem to have no way out but we have a growing number of liberals (we have a different context for this word, it's not another name for leftists), particularly among students (Students for Liberty), so we still have hope in this country.

The answer is to stop supporting the leeches. Reduce your production and consumption to minimize the taxes you pay.

The leeching won't end until the system collapses.

Starve the beast.

The state is completely inefficient. They distribute income (little thing, looks more like a vote-buying), encourage the consumption of the poor, saving decreases with the large amount of taxes and many people can not pay their debts. They say we're in an era of full employment, but more than 50 million Brazilians do not receive minimum wage, which is already a misery.

These people need better education, real jobs, more appreciation of entrepreneurship, things that really matter. We need less taxes, less dependency on government, it never really worked. Maybe in Norway or Sweden, where they have a good economic freedom, but unfortunately it's a completely different reality.

People who support Obama should read your two post. It shows what its like to live in liberal land.

The problem is when you have too many on the dole it is hard to turn it around. Why would people work if everything they need is paid for. I've wondered why do people bother working if they have to pay high taxes to pay for those who won't work. What's the point? That's how I am starting to feel. The criminals have guns but the good people don't and you live in fear. That's sad.

Obama, the welfare president, wants to turn this country into a Brazil. And yes they are buying votes and want to bring in mexicans so they will have more democratic voters. Liberals and democrats support him because they can't make it on their own. Your country sounds like a liberal hell.

This is true. I live in Illinois, which is a big moocher state and I used to live in Cook County which is where the majority of the moochers lived. I saw so many on welfare and easily 90% were abusing the system, even if not technically. What I mean is we had people intentionally having babies they couldn't afford knowing welfare would be for them just like it was for their mom. Meanwhile baby daddy does a johnny appleseed by spreading his sperm around and we don't need more babies by these guys. Then very often baby mama has another baby with another baby daddy and her kids grow up and repeat pattern. I saw this all too often. I would see welfare queens in line at the grocery store buying steaks I couldn't afford and one time I saw a woman attempting to buy electronics with a Link Card (Illinois food stamp/welfare program). If this wasn't bad enough we also have several programs for pregnant women and immigration status is not important. Because of this something like 75% of illegals in Illinois are on welfare. So while there are some truly needy people (like disabled, elderly and people who fall on hard times)by far the majority are either illegals or baby mamas/baby daddies. Instead of cutting welfare of these people our governor decides to tax people more and cut benefits for elderly and disabled. It's so bad several life long liberal Democrats I know are switching to Republican next time.

Then again if I was on welfare why work? Welfare provides cash benefits, medical, food stamps, WIC, free lunches and now often free breakfasts and dinners, utilities, rent, phone, childcare (including apparently just to get a break from the kids), even a gift certificate every month to spend as one desires. If that wasn't enough there have been bills put in place for welfare to offer free cable and free internet too! Also, many years ago the state also had a program for those on welfare to buy houses called something like operation turn key but this was discontinued luckily.

And yet they still complain. People on welfare are a bunch of ungrateful losers and they disgust people. Lets ship them to France!

I'm all for that, as long as the Wall St. criminals are prosecuted and bankrupted for their financial Sorceries, and exploitation of the cheapest labor around the globe in which to capitalize exponentially, based on their connections with Political corruptee's.

The welfare system is due to giving China, and India all our jobs in the name of profits and stock value.

How's that working out for the middle class in America... not very well.

The Un-Fed reserve has fed us to the dogs, and we are tired of existing on vomit.
