If these doctors want to bite the hand that feeds then good riddance to them.
I guess they have no overhead, malpractice insurance, regulation compliance costs, etc.
The ones going BK are private practice folks, mostly in rural areas.
Well that would make sense and it's a shame. But I assume most of these large practices have malpractice insurance and overhead....the reason they charge so much I guess.

Large practices can afford the cost in relationship to the number of patients they can churn out.
It's why America is moving towards a more top-heavy bureaucratic health care system, whether it goes UHC or stays corporatist/socialist.
I have no statistics on any of this. I'm just saying the doctors I know are extremely well off. What doctors charge for a 15 minute visit is outrageous. Multiply that in a day of a doctor and he is very wealthy. If I didn't have insurance I could never afford a doctor visit.
My Attorney charges 4 times more money than my M.D does for the same amount of time...and the Attorney has never been sued for malpractice...Guess who has the bigger house and faster car..
