Do you think this will satisfy the Green Fanatic tree hugging lunatics---"NO". I'm sure they'll find something to whine about fusion energy!

Actually, as a tree hugger I've been supporting fusion ever since I read about the concept of atomic energy. However I am concerned about the safety of fusion facility, and hopefully nothing goes wrong.

Nuclear fusion - no radioactive waste generated, no run-away nuclear meltdowns, no green-house gasses produced, no toxic dead-zone if/when a fusion plant is decommissioned.

But the "Green Fanatic tree hugging lunatics" will find something to whine about?

OP, your hate is blinding you.

What case?

That you don't give a rat's ass about safety in the program?

We saw how well that attitude worked out for BP and there were no nukes involved in that shamaozzle.

if you'd figured them out...What's the problem?

I find it funny when someone gains some nugget of knowledge, and they have to share that newly gained knowledge with everyone else...never taking the time to realize that others may have come to that knowledge long before they.

Great for you...you get a gold star. Now go sit down in your seat and stop eating the paste.

Actually, to defend The Mask, fusion energy in theory is a lot safer than fission, if the structure fails, in terms of radiation release. What I am curious about is structure safety and the potential damage if a structure fails. Because ITER is VERY expensive.
