They are one in the same. The only reason I can think of for preferring the term "Sharia" is to draw from the negative stigma surrounding that word when very few people who use the term seem to know what it means (and what it does not necessarily mean).

Sharia is the Muslim equivalent of "God's will" in Christianity/Judaism. It can mean literally anything, depending on the individual using the word and what they personally believe is their god's will. And just as the dominant view among Christians/Judaists on what constitutes "God's will" has evolved, so too will the dominant view of what Sharia means and does not mean to Muslims. The proof is in the already wide diversity in interpretation that Muslims have gone public about. This simply would not occur if it were the religion itself that was causing all the trouble.

I have no problem with Muslim immigrants to the U.S., as long as they are not terrorists.

What if they become terrorists after they immigrate?

Then we should arrest them, put them on trial, and if they are convicted, deport them (or put them in prison here/execute them).

In that logic we better ban guns because of school shootings.

Disarming the victims helps in what way?

I think immigration in general should be limited and more tightly controlled, especially in Europe. It's completely unacceptable to see Muslim immigrants taking Europeans hostage in their own countries, destroying property every time something offends them and forcing their cultural and religious values/morals down every one else's throats.

Immigration is good (my parents are immigrants) however, mass numbers of uneducated, criminal and poor immigrants coming into a civilized country is very detrimental

Some criminals buy guns legally as well.

Also, another analogy to this other poster's point was that interning Japanese Americans during World War II was justified in order to reduce the risk of the Japanese government successfully spying on the U.S.

So, based on this poll half of all CDers (and probably a reflection of US citizenry as a whole) are clueless maroons? Sounds about right.

Way to go corp media. Mission accomplished.
