These "Proms" are stupid but they are not school sponsored but private parties by private invitation. I went to a Wedding a few weeks ago and their wasn't a Black person at the event.

Should Private Parties be banned ?

anyone can join the NAACP, it was even founded with whites and jews (colored does not mean only black).

The only non-racist reasoning I could think of would be because the music and dancing might be too difficult to combine for all to get the most dance time. That probably does kind of sound racist in a way though.
