Cannot most of the above be said about heterosexuality as well?
I'm a heterosexual male, I've certainly engaged in sex acts that have not involved either the penis or vagina.
I also find it almost certain that some heterosexual couples are also based on things other than love.

It's no big deal. There have been homosexual athletes for years and it doesn't really matter who someone sleeps with. If he chooses to tell his orientation let him if not that's fine too.

I would love to find out if any gold digging men will be knocking on his door now. I'm sure that another story for the tabloids.

There are others.

I think Collins is getting so much attention because he's the closest to actually still having a career in one of the major sports. He's 34 years old, hasn't had a decent season in 8 years. Safe time for him to come out.

I totally agree with this. I just wish I didn't have to hear about it every day.

Then don't post on threads about gay issues. Change the TV channel if a news story comes on. Skip any newspaper articles about it.

I do this every day with topics that I am not interested in.

Are you aware that the game they play in the NFL is football, not baseball?

Tennis went through this decades ago. Billy Jean King, Maria Navratilova (I doubt I am spelling that correctly), It had little or no impact on that sport, either. Just as it will have no lasting impact on the NBA. Or the NFL when Romo comes out
