I'm surprised the union itself didn't buy it and run it themselves.
They seem to be all talk and no action.

They had the chance to BE management and passed it up.

The cool thing is they bought all of last year's inventory and it is still perfectly good.

Well, if it is in line with what a twinkie taster (product control) has for skills, probably fairly low.

Exactly. They take the risk, they benefit from the rewards. That's not to say the last thing owners care about are the employees. But the bottom line is that a business does not exist to create jobs.

Why do you hate working people? And don't try and tell me you don't. Those workers had already taken paycuts and cuts in benefits. And if they had taken those latest cuts it would have been only a matter of time before the company said you have to take more cuts, and then more, until finally they said **** it enough is enough. Then the company goes under and stupid people say see see it's because of those damn unions

The people at the top got tens of millions in bonuses while the ones below living paycheck to paycheck were asked to sacrifice for the good of the company. If they had and the company was flourishing now and making huge profits wanna take a wild guess who'd be getting the credit? I'll give you a hint, it wouldn't be the people the right wing likes to call takers

Why didn't the union buy out the factory and run it themselves ?
Then they could pay whatever the workers wanted with all the benefits they deserve.

The unions don't want to be the managers because they know they couldn't give the workers what they want and still turn a profit.

The fact is, and Hostess proved it, anytime a company goes out of business the right wing will blame the unions. The circumstances don't matter, they will always blame the union
