Right. I have cherokee back ground, but I have primarily white european DNA. Because my european DNA is dominant this relegates me to the white european haplogroup since that is my majority ethnicity. Someone who has an asian mother and a white father is mixed. But if that person goes on to have children with an asian spouse and those children go on to have children with asian spouses the european ancestry of those children are replaced over time, thus they become full asian in a few generations.

Simple genetics.

So you are mixed race too. Welcome to the club.

The simple genetics is, you can not breed out an ethnicity. There will always be a marker there no matter how many generations down you go.

No. I'm white because that's the majority of my DNA structure. No human on this earth is 100% of any race as can be seen from this picture:

http://dchero.files.wordpress.com/20...-world-map.gif

But majority genetics makes it possible to discern who's black, white or asian.

For example. All non-africans have between 2-6% neanderthal DNA. Despite this, we can still tell the difference between someone who is japanese and someone who is british even though the two share neanderthal genes.

It's alot more complicated than you think. You're looking at this from a very naive point of view.

"See you're mixed cus you got some cherokee!"

It's not that simple.

I am sorry if you misunderstood. I realise that most who frequent this forum are American, because it is an American site, but there are some, like me who are not American and do not reside in the U.S.

You can because some genes are dominant over others. Granted, genetic anomalies do occur within a population (african albinos), but such cases are again, anomalies.

I think it is ok to have a few mixed people. However it should not be a movement en masse.

I'm sorry, I thought you had said before that you lived here.

If you don't live here, why are you so concerned with who we allow to marry who?
So far you have posted about same sex marriage, and interracial marriage. If it bothers you, don't come here. This is the was it is in America. We allow each person to have the freedom to live as they choose, as long as they are harming no one.

Even if the gene is recessive, there will be markers there for it.

Should there be a limit?

How about this. We let citizens decide how to live their own lives.
