This is a simple question to those who support open borders, or the loosening of requirements to enter the U.S.

Why should it be made easier for anyone and everyone who wishes to relocate to the U.S. to actually do so?

I think entering ANY country should be made easier as long as you don't have a criminal background and can provide for yourself. Hundreds of years before, people were able to move where they wanted to, why shouldn't we be able to do so now?

Was it easy hundreds of years ago? I don't think so, harder for different reasons I'm sure. Other people's tax dollars I'm sure wasn't a factor, however.

Overpopulation is a very real and large threat to most modernized nations. Much to the dismay of some people, there is no right to enter any country other than the one you were born in.

Are you serious? Because hundreds of years ago our population was much smaller. Here in the U.S. our economy has tanked and jobs are scarce and we have over 315 million people here now. Do you not know what is meant by the carrying capacity of a country? It isn't about land space but the above things and the availability of natural and social resources to support a given population.

What about the unique identities of every country? Their own langauges, cultures and values? How do they retain that with massive immigration?

Really?
The way that I see it there is no right to deny a person entry into any country

If you financially support them I don't have an issue either.

Sorry, I disagree and I'm as liberal as they come. Canada has very extensive social safety nets, and the influx of people coming here for our healthcare or to retire here and then take advantage of our very inexpensive nursing homes would collapse this country within months. I've paid heavily into the system for years, and I'm entitled to reap the rewards. We can't just throw open the doors and invite the world in.

You disagree with what?

Why do people not have the right to travel freely upon the earth?

Travel, yes. Entry with the right to stay indefinitely...not so much.
