Even in China they learn English because that is the universal language of business.
It's like that in all countries. Yet here in the US....not so much.

Did you know Spanish and Catalan was spoken LONG before English was in the very place you live today? Heck. Your house is probably situated on land that was part of a Spanish land grant.

Learn a little Spanish and get to know your neighbors. Your life will be much happier.

You're joking right?

I don't want a nation full of illegals from anywhere.

And, English is the dominant language worldwide.

Europeans, Asians and Africans realize the importance of learning English.

My ancestors came here from Russia, Germany and Poland....they learned English relatively quickly.

Xenophobe. Give me a break.

Doesn't matter.

English is our national birth language.

We aren't a nation of immigrants anymore. Our citizens way outnumber any immigrant population in this country and has for some time now. We are a nation of Americans, period.

We will end up with a service class that cannot speak English.

You want to learn Spanish so you can speak to the janitor at work..have at it.
Me..I write code and communicate with other programmers worldwide..in English.

English is the language of globalism and business. If you want to get ahead and be part of it then learn English else be left behind doing the manual service work.

I think South Florida is the exception as that is a big hub for South American banking/business.

Měla by si každá společnost nebo vládní subjekt povinen mít překladatele pro každý jazyk?
