This happened in Canada, but we know they also pulled the same thing with heritage pigs in the US. Who are the real criminals? This ladies story breaks my heart.

as for what their reason was, disease prevention. This is what she says about that.

It's all on ShropshireSheep. org. They suspected them of having scrapie, though all the live tests (which have 88% accuracy) were negative. They'd never had signs nor symptoms either. I offered to keep in quarantine and CFIA could carry on monitoring while I continued to preserve the breed, as they are rare heritage bloodlines. I even offered to sacrifice a group so they could do their dead obex test which is not much higher accuracy than 88%. They went ahead and killed over 60.

That is a truly sickening example of a government agency insisting on carrying out its goal despite evidence and common sense that would prevent it. The lone sheep she sold in 2007 came down with scrapie 3 years later. It is the only sheep out of her herd that had evidence of it, yet they want to euthanize her entire herd years later?

These heritage breeds are quickly heading for extinction as it is, they don't need any help from the intrusive government!

This really breaks my heart. A government out of control, as we see in many instances.

I don't know how she can talk without choking back tears.

I don't understand why the really deep pocketed ones out there don't help out in cases like this.

If I were her, I'd contact Alex Jones, We are change, Truth Stream Media, Russia Today and every truth oriented media outlet I could think of to get the word out to people to rally around these farmers and get rid of the obnoxious regulations and subsequent raids they put up with.

Why can't someone like Oprah help out? Speaking of which, I wonder if Oprah is still happy she helped Obama get elected? You'd think Oprah would be smart enough to put 2 + 2 together. Supporting farmers like this indirectly protects the food supply.
