Why do we allow military recruiters into high schools to recruit? In my travels of schools, I have yet to once encounter McDonald's or Microsoft or Exxon being able to set up shop and attempt to woo kids, yet I have routinely seen military recruiters offered free rein with kids. Add to this the fact that military recruiters usually fall somewhere below used car salesmen and slightly above three-card monte dealers on the ethical scale, I cannot see a convincing argument for this practice.
