Yup I think we as in NATO should of secured the chemical one of the if not the largest Chemical weapons stockpiles in the ME either made them inert or took them out since they are safe as long as not mixed and stored separately usually in a separate secure location.

Assad is messed up that he did that to the people of his country he should of taken Russia offer to grant him and his family asylum and maintain some of his personal assets and live a decent multi0-millioaire life in Russia but he did not listen to his country or when SHTF for him and it began to drag on and Russia said it was either have a long drawn out Civil war was bad since your economy does not grow and countries do not tend to be buying or selling much to a country that is almost a failed state with no true government.

The country went from a decent 2nd world country with advanced infrastructure and a large economy compared to other 2nd world countries to a 3RD country and maybe the Assad Government plan for Syria was to make the country more like a Somalia or North Korea as the how they want to model their country after since strain or Assad government and Syrian leaders as well did that to Syrians who wanted to have Assad step down and far he will go to stay in power.
