Watergate coverage went on for literally years, with front-page headlines nearly every day.

In covering the Benghazi attacks (where, unlike Watergate, four people actually died), will the media duplicate this performance?

What difference does it make? It was a long time ago.

And we already jailed the guy who made the video that caused it all.

This is what the right does not seem to understand about the so called mainstream media, and it's baffling to me as to why they don't (not really, I understand completely but that's another topic).

Mainstream media is a business, and business is supply and demand. If people aren't demanding to know what happened, the media will not report much on the subject. Plain and simple, it's obviously not a very interesting story to the average American.

It's funny how the same conservatives will say "The mainstream media is so pro Democrat!" yet they completely ignore the fact that there was wall to wall coverage for Clinton's Oval Office escapades. Why was their coverage? Because people wanted it.

Jennifer Rubin, Hannity, Fox News etc. report it often because they know there's a demand from their viewership. Average America on the other hand? Not so much.

Times have changed drastically since Clinton's blow jobs.

And you have it backward. The public isn't demanding it because they don't know it exists. They don't know it exists because the braindead media isn't covering it.

Not to mention, news should be news and not what the public wants to hear.

Actually today is May 8, 2013. Mainstream media is a business and any business that does not change with the times will go out of business. "In TODAY'S day, they are pro democrat and liberal. Reaching back to another era does not prove anything.

"That was a long time ago!"

There is a demand because people want the truth. They don't automatically believe something because it is positive for Obama or Hillary or any politician for that matter.

So you think the public is deaf? Last I checked, every conservative pundit has been shouting from the rooftops about this event. Everyone knows.

Maybe they found it hypocritical that stations such as Fox and other right-leaning sources couldn't have cared less when it happened under Bush. It could very well be the right-leaning media's fault when one really thinks about it (if you are going to go at that angle).

They aren't pro Democrat. You just refuse to accept the fact that the mainstream isn't as right as you are.
