I can't believe the 40 percent figure is accurate. I'd guess 75 percent myself.
I'd say for folks born before 1980, the stats would be about 75 percent & above - even for
doctors, lawyers, & candlestick makers...
After 1980, not so much - with D.A.R.E. in primary grades, 40 percent seems right.
But they drink like fish, and pop RX drugs like candy...
I've never actually smoked (or ingested to my knowledge) pot. When I was in HS back in the 70's pretty much everyone else did, or at least tried it. I was often the only one at a party NOT smoking it although nobody cared. Now that I'm in my 50's I don't know anyone besides the generation up from me (my parents group) who hasn't. Everyone in my family has (sibling, kids, spouse, cousins, etc.) everyone I know socially has, everyone new person I meet has, etc. I fully support it being legal and never say never...I may use it someday.
And of by some chance you do lose control, you giggle to yourself, eat some chicken fingers, and fall asleep. You dont turn into a raging tornado of destruction spewing insults and vomit.
For the most part. Though I don't get the giggles much anymore. Unless I'm watching comedy.
No wonder there are so many loopy people in America. I think a lot of anti-drug people are druggies themselves, LOL.
