Ironically at the last Democratic debate, Dennis UFO Kucinich made mention of President Bush's mental state. While this statement coming from Kucinich may diminish the argument, there is growing evidence that Bush's unstable and unbalanced nature is getting worse.
With pretty much every person of Bush and Cheney's inner circle now gone, under indictment, resigned, fired, or fleeing for their lives, this administration has become very isolated. Unlike any previous Presidential administration that ended up lame duck, this one remains uncompromising, unchanged, and still steeped in the delusion that they can redeem the glory of the empire.
We can all rest safe in our beds however, as Bush still calls mommy, Karen Hughes at least 3-4 times a day to ask if he is doing the right thing. Pretty sad when something like this doesn't even raise a brow with Americans anymore.

Actually it was Dana Perino who mentioned that Bush still speaks to Karen Hughes 3-4 times a day. Being she is the White House press secretary, take it up with her.

This administration has always been self-refferential. The only ideas that are considered are the ideas they already had before they became the administration. These ideas became facts that cannot be questioned after the gained power. I can only say that the folks that took advantage of the delusional nature of the administration are running away as the illusions are coming apart because reality is slowly seeping into the inner circle. Only the President seems to be secure in his knowledge of what constitutes reality.
Crazy, Huh?

Yes, I feel I have to take a shower each time I quote someone from the Bush administration, between the stench of the glue sniffing supporters out in loonyville and the smell of sweaty blood stained dirty money used to check Dick Cheney's dip stick to see if he is a quart low, it is rather gross.

Maybe you should find a forum that isn't so draining to you. Something less stressful, like maybe over in home decor or plant and gardens....

I feel the sacrifice of showing how delusional faith based authoritarian politics, egocentricism of mass order, rampant cronyism, and paranoid fantasies as well as audio hallucinations are a danger to the American way of life is well worth the frequent showers. Fret not, this administration will soon be out of office and his band of merry mullahs will be out in the private sector giving lectures on how my pet goat is a threat to national security.

Karen Hughes was the Dubya campaign official who addressed the press when the news came out in year 2000 about Dubya's DUI in Maine.

You mean the one-time misdemeanor incident in 1976 when he got pulled over and was fined $150.00??
Karen Hughes has been a close friend and adviser to President and Mrs. Bush since 1995 and his Governor days in Texas. Don't all politicians have close aides / advisers? Why is this news? What's the big deal ~ she's a mother who wants to be closer to home. The White House has said she will still take on responsibilities working from home.

Like the other person said, she's a hack. They're on the politician's payroll (then later the public payroll) one way or another, like a glorified butler. The key qualification for the job is personal loyalty. Every politician has a gaggle of them around.
Most people in the world are either a leader or a follower. And each kind desperately needs the other.
