Definitely. Society must balance various priorities, including free speech and the safety afforded by the common defence. The latter is paramount in this context.

Individual rights need to be protected from greater society ( i.e. mob rule).

Of course not.

Are you actually trying to suggest the government OBEY THE LAW?

These blueprints are going to have to take a number and stand in a LONG line if they expect to be treated that way.

Individual rights to reduced risk of harm need to be protected from "individual rights" to have the unencumbered ability to harm others.

What are you afraid of, that you spread such FUD about the government trying to reduce the risk to society from "printable" guns? I trust the government more than random people on the Internet downloading specs for guns to print on their 3D printers.

They pull the gun blueprints off the web but you can still find plans on how to build a pipe bomb or a pressure cooker bomb. It is more gun control.
