It's time for government to start regulating these 3D printers because there are a few people who do bad things with them...... Oh wait.... I guess when it comes to 3D printers, they have a bit of a different outlook than they do on guns...

Amazing how people can apply such sound logic to other inanimate objects, but the same logic is lost on them when it comes to guns.
There is already the less-than-lethal rubber bullets but I would prefer the DIY cast bullets. If you like the brass coated ones, there's also a process to use old .22LR fired brass to cover a .223 lead bullet. Press that into a fired .223 cartridge and you have the ultimate recycling.
Why ordinary citizens are disallowed weapons that the government says should be freely given the citizens of Middle Eastern countries? What makes the government think they are better qualified to be armed rather than ordinary citizens?
So how much did that Black Hawk Helicoptor in your garage set you back?
I would expect that the prices will drop dramatically over the next few years as they have done for the traditional paper printers.
It's not the printer that costs the big bucks. It's the polymer plastics, and they won't drop in price.
As soon as some idiot blows his hand off from using the wrong plastic, that will be that.
