Co2 level is one story, the destruction of rain forest, jungles, and plant life is tipping the balance.

You can have 400 ppm of Co2 as long as there are enough plants to convert that Co2. Since human population growth and urbanization, we're destroying more plant life. That is why the Co2 level is so high.

NASA...

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change

Results showed that carbon dioxide fertilization explains 70 percent of the greening effect, said co-author Ranga Myneni, a professor in the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University. “The second most important driver is nitrogen, at 9 percent. So we see what an outsized role CO2 plays in this process.”

What methods and standards were employed in 1880 when measuring the global surface temperature?

Which international organization made certain that data was collected according to the standards in place at that time?

Did they measure the temperature at the exact same time in the morning and/or evening, and how do we know?

What sort of standardized equipment was used, how was data collected and how do we know data collected was accurate?

Were changes made to the equipment and/or the areas were the equipment was utilized, or has everything remained the same for a century and a half?

When we start digging into these claims of "hottest ever" this or that, we find that there has never been a real temperature record and what is used in place of the non-existent record is purpose-built magic unicorn data.

I feel like your trying to talk big on a subject you obviously don't know much about. What you stated about NASA was just pure ignorance. Like what do you know about what they do in the background? NASA does all kinds of research.
We have a National Weather Service and the NOAA. We don't need to waste money having NASA duplicating research.

Apparently, you've never worked for a federal government bureaucracy. Constantly justifying your job is the number one priority.

Been waiting....still ZERO.....................................

Nobody? I have to ask then, since this is my 3rd time asking (with no a single answer).....is this true or is it just a bunch of BS?

NASA needs to understand weather for various reasons. Researching weather here helps us understand weather on other planets, understanding weather on other planets gives us a better understanding of our world.
So it’s just part of their tool belt. Obviously NASA is not in it to just simply report the weather, but keeping track of it is important for their missions etc. and they share it with other scientific agencies. Again what you stare is ignorance. Feel like your grasping.

Cant believe this has to be explained..

Now, this is funny....^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What was here 3 million years ago that caused the co2 levels to be so high?

Nope, why are we now just breaking limits from 3 million years ago?

Is it because man was here?

The industrial age was here?

You do understand that you are saying that, due to the current situation of co2 is because of where we currently are in the world.....

Then I ask again, why were the co2 levels higher 3 million years ago, vs today?

Google is a stupid cop-out......congrats, you've mastered the...cop-out.....

If you have no answer, just admit it....pretty simple.

This is 2019 and all the info available is just a few clicks of your mouse away. Are you not aware of that?

After a five second search..... During the Jurassic Period the Earth's interior was not standing still; rather, the supercontinent Pangaea had started to split into two smaller landmasses, called Laurasia and Gondwana.

Subduction led to volcanism at the surface, with rocks constantly melting and emitting CO2 into the atmosphere. Huge amounts of this greenhouse gas made the climate during the Jurassic Period extremely humid and warm.
