And "what difference does it make now?"...

We have the same problem in Canada. Liberals who call themselves the "natural ruling part" of Canada are now being found to be liars and absolutely corrupt. Mindless taxing and spending and loss of tax dollars is rampant. Now the left does not call it taxing...They use the Orwellian title for tax...They call it "revenue tools"...as if the tax payer is just a tool to be used by government.

The trend now is for a political party to hold power at all cost. It's not about service anymore or the benevolent care of the public. Politics have become a game of utter selfishness and parasitic behavior. Public sector workers have the grandest retirement plans...Their wages far exceed those of the average private sector worker. The government is so top heavy with parasites that vote for themselves. It's a serous problem.

You have sized up the situation quite accurately. There we have it.

At least one reporter called Carney out on it at the daily briefing the followed after the secret meeting.
Reporters from Huff Po and Poltico both tweeted about how wrong the secret meeting was. And apparently, this wasn't the first time the White House has done this. Hopefully all the outlets attending these secret events will be published and embarrassed by their collusion with the White House.

White House Holds Secret Benghazi Briefing, Incensing Some Reporters

The tragedy is this: Liberals want to protect an agenda, and their specialty is sweeping wrongdoing under the rug. What you've mentioned is yet another example of this travesty. This administration is the laughingstock of the entire world, as the truth just isn't part of their repertoire. Sooner or later, lies will find them out.

When OMB Watch gave Obama a 'Transparency Award' in a private meeting sans press, you had to know something was not right.

When Dodd's legislation had a clause put in by the treasury dept at the midnight hour, without his knowledge, and intended to ensure AIG execs got their bonuses..you had to wonder what was up and why the media did not jump on this story.

Obamacare discussions were to be broadcast on CNN....oops! despite Pelosi declaring the negotiations for obamacare were the most transparent in history, backroom deals for critical states were leaked..and no media followup. Must have been some discussion as no one read or understood the legislation before it was passed.

Oh yes, then there was candidate Obama swearing he would allow time for the public to review legislation before he would sign it....and then his promise of transparency to showcase the negotiations and reveal any unethical dealings.

It is the media in collusion with the Obama admin that makes his claim of transparency to mean Obama can act unethically in plain view as the media does its best to interpret the words of the 'world's greatest orator' as declared by the media propagandists.

on and on.....to the point where Obama has morphed from solid to transparent and approaches the density of a hologram.

Transparency is a definition , not an assessment.
It's either transparent or it's not.

A secret meeting by invite only about Benghazi and the left have no problem with this ?
If there's nothing to hide then why are they hiding ?

I would think the left should be "Bring it on Repubs. We have nothing to hide" if there really was nothing to hide.

It is the dumbest move they can make. Period.

The radical right has invented so many "lies" about Obama and at this point, I am disinclined to believe any of them. Ever heard of the little boy who cried "wolf"? Well, if Obama actually did anything that is even half as decietful as those things he has been accused of, for the past 6 years, I would be very skeptical about believeing it. The right has so profoundly divorced itself from anything resembling "truth"!

He is unwise. That has been made clear time and again.
