Apparently the White House invited its favorite propaganda outlets from tv, print, and web to a secret, off the record briefing to tell them how to spin, err, give them the "facts" on Benghazi.
But the reporters found out because the daily press briefing got delayed, and now they are pissed. Way to go Carney!
At least one reporter called Carney out on it at the daily briefing the followed after the secret meeting.
Reporters from Huff Po and Poltico both tweeted about how wrong the secret meeting was. And apparently, this wasn't the first time the White House has done this. Hopefully all the outlets attending these secret events will be published and embarrassed by their collusion with the White House.

The White House found itself with another press corps controversy on its hands on Friday, after it emerged that it held a secret briefing about the Benghazi attacks with a select group of White House reporters.

There is no constitutional provision that the Executive branch meet with the press.

The President is not even required to address the Congress to give a state of the union assessment.

So if some reporters have their panties in a bunch...who cares.

I'd like to know who the invited reporters were so we can properly evaluate their "reports"

The point you're missing is Obama ran a campaign under the guise to oversee the most transparent admin in modern times.....among other lies.

Really are you THAT narrow minded and biased? He is hand selecting reporters, he can control, so they can disseminate a news story which is partial to him. Obviously embellishing, if not down right lying, about events. And you support this?

I don't care if you are republican, democrat, a socialist, or whatever. It is plain and simply WRONG. The facts are the facts and its time it comes out. If mistakes were made, so be it. Let the chips fall where they will, fixe the mistakes, and move on. However, purposely covering things up, or giving the perception of a coverup, is just making matters worse.

At least be objective on SOMETHING.
